Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the west in a wonderful game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the casino, not like almost all other poker games that players compete against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginning players do not need to fret about any other, more skillful gamblers taking their moolla.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned seven cards faces showing and the dealer receives seven cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and one two card hand have to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the houses.
