Web poker has become world celebrated as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many types on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the dealer rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier declares "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers receive five cards each. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Abandoning means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, plus a figure equal to the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The casino pays chips equal to your original bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
