Internet poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not in reality poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little conniving or other kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers receive 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s value is on same level to your beginning bet, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your ante goes instantaneously to the dealer. After the bet comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with an amount equal to the original wager. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand defeats the casino’s hand. The dealer pays out chips even with your bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
