Internet poker has become globally famous recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in reality a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been developed, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with 21 than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different players receive 5 cards. Once you have observed your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you have to either make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the casino. After the bet is the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is given back, with a sum on par with the ante. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the bank’s hand. The house pays money even with your original bet and set odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
